The colt’s dam, Star of Sapphire, is a beautifully bred daughter of Champion Sire, Tapit. She is a full sister to multiple Group 1 winner, Zazu and the Group 2 winning and Group 1 placed, Flashback. Zazu won the Grade 1 Lady’s Secret Stakes and the Grade 1 Las Virgenes Stakes both over a mile. She also won the Grade 2 Hollywood Oaks before being purchased by Katsumi Yoshida. She is one of Tapit’s top performers and will be given every chance at stud as part of one of the world’s greatest broodmare bands. Star of Sapphire is also a half-sister to Art Princess who was just caught in the final strides of the Group 2 Cherry Hinton Stakes, a prestigious race for the 2 year olds in the UK. Art Princess is the dam of Tapit colt, Tap That, who is a dual winner and Listed placed in Japan
