WELCOME TO MT HALLOWELL THOROUGHBRED STUD

Mt Hallowell Stud is a boutique thoroughbred horse stud located in the picturesque South West corner of Western Australia. Mt Hallowell Stud takes a holistic approach as it nurtures and develops horses for their thoroughbred racing careers.

Owner, Craig Thompson, has been involved in the horse racing industry since 2006 but in that short time he has experienced success at the elite level with seven Group 1, six Group 2, six Group 3 and eight Listed successes. 

Mt Hallowell Stud has a first-class band of broodmares and in December 2016 bred its first Stakes winner off the property when Lusaha (More Than Ready-Rose Of Hallowell) was successful in the Listed Lee Steere Classic at Ascot.

The Broodmares are served by top quality Australian and European stallions. The Stud is also an active buyer at the major yearling sales in Australia.

The Mt Hallowell Stud brand is quickly becoming recognized nationally as a leading and most trustworthy source of young racehorses.

Whilst still in its early development phase, Mt Hallowell Stud is developing an impressive strike rate of winners to runners and has an exciting group of yearlings and weanlings on the ground that will hopefully form the nucleus of our future champions.
